TOP TUNES

In my opinion, several singles have struck a deep chord in my heart.
As a singer, but not musician, I become fascinated by the gentle strum of the guitar or enchanting rhythm of something electric. Not to miss out the vocal harmonies blending together to make your pulse skip a beat.

So, here's my top 5 favourite at the moment:

1: C O O L by Le Youth

2: Cavalier by James Vincent Mcmorrow

3: Latch by Disclosure

4: Us Against Whatever by Ghostpoet

5: Le Kwa Ukwu by Iyana

6: Look Right Through by Snow Queen (MK Dub III)

7: Feel Good by Gorillaz

8: By Your Side by Sam

9: Wake Up by All Sons and Daughters

10: Last but not least (literally) Stunner by Milky Chance

Veggies and Fruitsies Five a Day on another level

Recently I became an extreme lover of Fruits! and vegetables...

In my travels, I discovered that in Belgium, the serve them on waffles, many different types with dollops of heart threatening cream that it's hilariously hard to reach the actual waffle. It's true, Belgians really do love waffles! Just like the French love crepes. When you visit these places, there are stands on every corner offering a variety of sweet tasty treats which London has tried to replicate.

The Spanish (in Costa Del Sol at least) sell various amounts of humongous fruits and vegetables which are unfamiliar to the West, even the internal views differ! Moreover, enjoy using olive oil on bread to the point that margarine is rare.

Malawians use Tomatoes and Onions as there base for any sauce they may create and seeing the sizzling in the pan together, with dashes of seasoning really sets the taste buds to work.

The Greek love love love their olives and have good reason to for they are fresh and virgin of the preservation used in olive jars.

The point is, all these places have plentiful produce which is used on the regular and we in the West and stick to our mediocre roast vegetables, fruit salad or strawberries and cream.
(Sings) #Let's experiment!#

Today, why don't you grace your vegetables with the weird and wonderful?
Mix up the flavours!
A way to start is fresh salad leaves, tuna or any type of flaked fish, feta cheese, tomato, avocado, fig, orange and cucumber drizzled with Olive oil and sprinkled with Herbimare!

Or make a Courgette cake.

Breaking the Fast

They say Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, Well if you have time, it's great to make it as it will fill you up so you only need to eat twice a day (depending on the time you ate it).
Here are some ideas:

Salmon (smoked), Omlette, Mini chicken sausages and Hash Brown. To make it healthier, add tomato or a cool mixed cucumber and avocado salad.
This brekkie is full of protein which helps rebuild parts of your body.
Carbs are limited as if not burned, store fat but are needed in order to give energy.

Alternatively why not try a fry up.
Eggs, Homemade flatbread, Vegetarian Sage Sausage and Turkey Rashes.
Instead of using fatty Pork or beef, these substitutes taste just as good and prove to be a lot better for your body!
Don't know where to find them? Just pop to your local Tescos in the frozen 'Vegetarian' section, there you'll find a variety of meat free sausages.
Most Tesco stores should stock the Turkey Rashes too in the area, near Bacon rashes. So have a try!

Another great thing is banana oats. Its ultra healthy, ultra quick and ultra tasty!
This serves one person:
1. Take a cup of oats-depending on how much you want
2. Pur water into the bowl, if you like your oats firm, pour till the water just appears, if you prefer it to slip of your spoon, pour more (you can also use milk)
3. Warm it in the microwave for a minute (in a 1000 watt)
4. Take it out and chop up a banana
5. Mix it up!
6. Serve and eat

You could add seeds and nuts to stay fuller for longer or dried fruit such as cranberry to manipulate flavours.

Expressions

Expressions

Responding to Green Day - All by Myself

Alone. On my own.
Struggling to mention the times and intentions
When you were all I saw
Looking. Thinking. Contemplating. Wondering.
In a room, in my house, by myself
I'll imagine you're there
Yet just stare, into the wonderful space that needs my embrace
Your case
Reminds me of no one.

Edumacation

A+B=C
But I'm confused because I thought B was A
And all the letters jumble as I mumble
And struggle to explain, the neurons
From this things called a Brain
They say "Just sing the refrain
And you'll retain every skill"
Yet Polemology just makes me ill
To think how an innocent character can be killed
Just for their belief
I receive a brief explanation of Faith
With all its key terms
Next cook noodles that are slimy like worms
Then, expected to write information about geographical adaptation
Full of Hesitation, I gain the guts to speak
"But Miss, all I want to learn about is me"...
